UGATA partnered with the City of Greenville and Bike Walk Greenville to create a durable connection from the Nicholtown Community to the Swamp Rabbit trail near Cleveland Park. For years residents have been using a rough dirt path to access the Swamp Rabbit trail which made this connection unusable for bikers and people pushing strollers. By taking advantage of an affordable and easy to implement geo-grid system, we were able to make a safe and comfortable connection quickly.

UGATA and Bike Walk Greenville worked with members of the Nicholtown Neighborhood Association to hone this project and make sure that it fits the community. Initial trail counter data suggests that this route is part of the daily commute for many community members.
