Naomi Haverlick

About Naomi: Naomi Haverlick has lived in Greenville for over a decade. After years of zig‑zagging across the country—Seattle, WA, Cranston, RI, Reno, NV and back again—Naomi landed in Greenville in 2015. She’s spent her entire 17+ year career with REI Co‑op, a place that lets her blend her love of the outdoors with her passion for people, community, and creating welcoming spaces. Naomi finds joy in just about anything that gets her moving or outside—cycling, camping, hiking, backpacking, rock climbing, cooking, gardening, and even tap dancing.

Favorite Greenway or Trail: I’m so grateful for the Green Line section of the Swamp Rabbit Trail—especially the paperclip and the bridge over Laurens Road. Before those improvements, getting through that area was stressful at best. Now it feels safe, smooth, and connected, and I have real peace of mind riding into Cleveland Park. Future developments will even make it possible for me to get to work by bike with hardly any time spent on the road. It feels like such a gift to have thoughtful infrastructure that makes it easier—and safer—for all of us to move through our community.

Why I support UGATA: UGATA is steadfast in its commitment to building better greenways and trails for our communities, and we work closely with a diverse group of stakeholders to ensure these improvements are thoughtful, sustainable, and beneficial for all.
