Requests for Proposals

UGATA is soliciting proposals for the construction of a 1.85 mile long paved shared use path, with a .25 mile long paved shared use path as Add Alternate subject to the conditions and all provisions set forth herein and attached. Proposals will be received no later than December 17th at 3:00 PM. All proposals must be delivered via email to sdavis@ugata.org.

Any questions related to this RFP are to be sent to sdavis@ugata.org. Questions and their answers will be posted on this page. It is the bidder’s responsibility to regularly check this page for updates. 

Requests for Information:

1. The construction plans did not originally include the structural design. 
       Those plans have been added to the Packet Folder. 
2. Is joint filler optional?
       Joint filler is optional.
3.  Would cast iron warning tiles be acceptable in lieu of the paver warning tiles?
       Any material that meets federal ADA guidelines is acceptable 
4. Are tooled joints preferred or sawed joints?
       Sawed joints are preferred. The bidder can propose tooled joints or saw joints and may provide cost estimates for one or both of these options 
5. Are bidders to provide the structural design for the retaining wall per detail 8 on C6.0
       Structural engineering is not required but wall materials and design must be approved by UGATA before construction 
6. The drawing states a maximum of 10′ spacing for control joints. Is a 12′ max spacing acceptable for the control joints. 
       12’ is acceptable
7. Can we use HP pipe in lieu of RCP?
       This is acceptable
