Autumn Macnab

About Autumn: Autumn is a full-time trail builder who has worked with UGATA since August 2023, when she joined the Upstate Trail Corps as an AmeriCorps member. The following year, she came back to the Upstate Trail Corps as a Crew Leader. Once that AmeriCorps term had concluded, she joined UGATA as a full-time professional trail builder. Autumn specializes in carpentry projects and back country trail construction. Outside of work, you might find Autumn at a thrift store, a concert, or at home playing with her precious cat, Honey.
Favorite Trail or Greenway: I am an avid trail runner and currently, some of my favorite trails to run are the Saluda Confluence Recreation Area (SCRA) and the Pinnacle Ridge trail of Table Rock State Park. However, my all-time favorite trail is called Owl’s Head Mountain in Long Lake, NY. This beautiful trail sits on Lake Eaton, across from a campground that I would visit with my family every year growing up. The summit has a fire tower with beautiful views of the lakes of the Adirondacks.
Why I Support UGATA: In my childhood, I grew to love hiking alongside my late father in the high peaks of the Adirondacks. It is fulfilling to see parents take their kids onto trails I have had a part in building and watching them create memories that parallel the ones I made with my dad.
